Annie B.
Alternative rock singer-songwriter Annie B. and her supporting band, The Vagabond Company, is quickly making a name for themselves on the Milwaukee music scene.
Annie, along with her former alt-rock band, has been heard on numerous radio stations from New York to L.A. during the mid – late 2000s.
With over 300 original songs in her catalog, her material takes a journey from funky-pop to gritty powerhouse to pretty, melodic ballads for the softies.
Heartfelt lyrics juxtaposed with great storytelling, a unique percussive style, and mesmerizing stage presence provide an unforgettable experience for everyone, from serious music connoisseurs to people just looking for good entertainment.
Jeff Brown
Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jeff Brown was born in an unassuming Midwestern town with a forest and eventually a bowling alley. After moving to California as a child, he began a lifelong love of making music upon finding his dad’s old guitar in the attic. Raised on heavy metal, versed in classical and the blues, he has found his home in the soothing melodies and heartfelt lyrics of modern folk rock in Chicago.
Jeff doesn’t care much for talking himself up. So he usually doesn’t. He likes to play his guitar. He can’t drink milk. He practices entertainment law. He doesn’t dance much. He thinks you should listen to Iron Maiden. He looks younger than he is, and is endlessly amused with this. He has many very talented musical friends who he admires and enjoys sharing the stage with. He loves talking to people after his shows. He would probably like you. He’s not very good at Guitar Hero III.
Jeff occasionally performs with his extra large trio. The JBXL3 features Christine Knodle on violin and vocals, Jim Lordeman on drums and vocals, and Mike “Vez” Narvaez on bass and vocals.
You can also catch Jeff at work in an Atmospheric Roots Rock collaborative force called “Goodbyehome“. Jeff melts faces and occasionally also hearts on lead guitar, as well as accordion, banjo, mandolin, and vocals. Goodbyehome also features Singer and guitarist Greg Combs, Sarah Wong on Violin and vocals, and drummer Jim Lordeman. This band is on a clip to do some amazing things to and with the Chicago music scene. Watch for them at a venue near you!
And if that weren’t enough, Jeff also melts faces as a Hired Gun with Chicago Americana Ska-Punk group “Cobalt & the Hired Guns“. He plays accordion. Because accordion is cool.
