Matthew Morgan and the Lost Brigade Has Teamed Up With CAUDog Records to Release Their Full-Length Debut Album

Straight from Matthew Morgan and the Lost Brigade:
Hello Folksters!  We just wanted to take a minute to tell you how excited we are that things are moving along beautifully with the recording of our debut album.  So far we are in our third week of recording at Angel City Studios with producer Ellis Clark and are very pleased with how things are going.  Ellis is amazing to work with– and from what we’ve already heard the record is going to be spectacular!
It’s really an honor to be working with CAUDog Records on this project.  Michael Teach is a Chicago treasure and it’s extremely gratifying and humbling to have his guidance in the process of getting our music out there.
So, most of you who have been following us know that we’ve been closing our shows with a relatively new song called “Black Water”.  We don’t know what it is, but it just feels right and the response that you guys have given us to that particular song is kind of making us think that we might release it as a single/video/digital download kind of thing!
Also, we have a couple of new tracks that we’ve never played that are hopefully going to squirm their way onto this album as well.  Included in that lineup is a song called “Elephant Man” written by Anita Chase, which is quickly becomming one of our favorites.  Also, a new mandolin based anthem that Dave Szpunar is writing (yes, Dave has added yet another odd, but beautiful sounding instrument to his arsenal).
Well, that’s about it.  We would love to hear back from you guys with comments and suggestions.  We’re aiming for a November release date, just in time for the holidays.  Also, we’re planning to make a little promo video of our studio sessions, so look for that to be coming soon.
Much Love, – MMLB
